One day – it was on 16 February 2005 – I was thinking how important knowledge of English was in our society nowadays. I asked myself, “What about those children who didn’t have any chance to learn English?”
It was then when the idea came to my mind to establish a language center. The main aim of that center was teaching English to children, whose families had limited financial abilities but were eager to learn English. The second aim was to help foreign teachers find teaching jobs in Thailand.
On 18 February 2005 I started designing the course syllabus and applied to the Ministry of Education for permission to open a language center. There were three of us who established Akson Bundit Language Center: Ajarn Boonklong Kaleumsri who teaches at Mahachai Christian School in Samut Sakorn, Ms. Krisana Ajsawabundit who invested her own money into the establishment of the language center, and me.
Akson Bundit Language Center was established on 8 April 2005.
I hope that Akson Bundit Language Center can reach the abovementioned aims. I especially hope that Thai children will have better future because they will be able to use their knowledge of the English language in their jobs and take an active part in the development of Thailand as well as in the world globalization process.

Director of Akson Bundit Language Center
